A.W. Tozer wrote,
“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
A.W. Tozer also wrote, “the most portentous fact about any man is not what he at a given time may say or do, but what he in his deep heart conceives God to be like.”
In other words, it is not the circumstances one is in or the personality given that dictate one’s decisions and actions. It is what is understood about God--His character, attributes and works--that gives ultimate guidance.
So what do you really believe God to be like? Really spend some time thinking about the character of God.
